My work is grounded in social work values: social justice, human rights, collective responsibility, and respect for diversity.
The International Federation of Social Workers defines social work as "a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion, and the empowerment and liberation of people."
That foundation shapes everything about how I approach leadership development. I don't see coaching as personal development in isolation. I see it as a way to develop leaders who can recognize the systems they operate in and transform them from within.
Leadership development wasn't built with everyone in mind. Much of it was built to maintain existing power structures. My work addresses that gap. Not by helping leaders survive those systems, but by equipping them to change how leadership operates around them.
I support the Grand Challenge for Social Work to Advance Long, Healthy, and Productive Lives. Developing leaders who can navigate and transform existing power structures to advance social and organizational well-being is how I contribute to that aim.
